Didn't live up to the hype, not a bad movie but no need to see it again. And I do like PTA - I have watched Licorice Pizza at least three times. The characters were not particularly like able or heroic in any particular way, except maybe the daughter. Of course Leonardo was awesome in his role, and seeing him running around day and night in a bathrobe was the most memorable aspect of the movie and had me cracking up. And the car chase was exceptionally well done. Other than that, it was an ok way to spend three hours and not much else.

I don't write a whole lot of reviews but this movie really surprised me and is worth mentioning. I was expecting a cheap and bloody production to pass some time, yet this exceeded expectations. There actually is more heart to the story, and not too much violence, and in a good way. Yes, blood will be shed, but tears as well. The finale showdown(s) don't follow a typical hollywood mold, yet fit in with the theme. Revenge, redemption, courage, and family are all treated equally. If there's one criticism, there is some overacting on the part of the primary bad guy, however this is compensated by overall strong performances.
