This was the most predictable show ever, so much so that if you breeze through the episodes you know just what is going to happen and it is so utterly un smart that I felt I needed to say beware of the hype, it has nothing to do with the content. Even if the 10 episodes were condensed to one it would still be boring vanilla fluff but worse, all the writing is dialogue you have heard before, many many times. ugh. This astronaut captain was utterly attached to her family and all its drama on earth, making it even more unbelievable. And lying about the eye exam? why would he do that? oh yawn.
If anything, this series revealed that after millennia, little has changed.. And perhaps gotten worse. Except for one thing, but i won't write a spoiler.
Highest rating because I am happy the French can still pull off films that are fully in character with the culture of the 18th century. This film is right up there with "Ridicule" and, even Dangerous Liaisons.
