I cannot believe this was a real tv show. It feels more like a spoof. The acting is terrible and the dialogue is even worse. Maybe the editing makes this more unwatchable.
One specific example is that the detective is in a glider and sees a car on a dirt road have an accident but we hear tires squealing like it was on pavement. What? Could she hear the accident in the glider and was tires squealing a clue? You have to watch to find out. No spoilers here.

I think this is hard to watch because of how much film has evolved in fifty years. It's so glacially slow and all over the place. I just could not feel the horror. This was more like watching a spoof of a horror film. The reason it feels like a spoof is because of the acting and the killer POV filming. Everyone is in a different movie. The tone shifts from scene to scene. I don't get it.
I heard a podcast that made this film sound so good and the decent IMDB ratings lead me to watch this, but this one is just not for me.
Pros: the seventies aesthetic is cool. John Saxon is very appealing.
