Ah, Between the Lions ... there are too many people who like the show or have praised it. Have they ever taken the time to watch an episode? I'll admit it, the show has some good intentions - it has humorous pop culture references, parodies, and celebrity guest stars. You'll need to include all of those to make a good kids show. The show also teaches kids how to read - letter sounds, making words, vowels and constants, you name it. Most PBS Kids reading shows are either rarely airing or off the air. I've seen bits and pieces of this show, and from what I've seen so many people like it. But the characters are annoying and aside from what I've mentioned, the skits are all bad and low quality writing. How and why has this show been going on for 10 years?
I'm glad this show isn't on anymore. There are other, much better kids shows which are a lot more tolerable.

This special's a bit rare, but the premise is a little familiar as we've seen it in other Christmas specials ... family reunion. Could this be the Sprout equivalent of A Muppet Family Christmas? Maybe.
Seriously?! This show has a mackerel terrible influence on kids. It teaches them to sing all day and never stop singing and the phrase "hey Wibbly" gets old even after two viewings. Kids don't watch Wibbly Pig for educational purposes - they watch for entertainment. If you're letting your kid watch Wibbly, go the other way, and watch Blue's Clues.
