This is a solid romance story in the vein of up all night romances. Grace has a bad day at work. She didn't get the promotion, essentially because she is told she is too reserved. She goes home and her roommate tells her she needs to loosen up. But the reality is... she doesn't want to. That is her... and just like everyone... she should be respected. She decides to go out with her girlfriend only to be blown off and left at a bar with instructions not to come back to the apartment for a few hours because her roommate is getting some. Eventually she stumbles upon Carter.
Carter is a fairly well known hockey star (not known to Grace) who just got dropped from the big leagues. In 12 hours he will find out if he gets to stay in the majors or is sent to the minors. Essentially he wants to forget about hockey for a few hours and ends up meeting Grace.
Grace and Carter have a very rough time of it at first but both end up bearing their souls / opening up to each other... and learning things about themselves. Grace learns to open up for the right person and Carter learns what is holding him back at Hockey and life.

Of all the movies I watched lately this one is the best. Very funny and well done.
In sum three improv actors are employed by a police officer to play a part concerning a criminal enterprise. All three are struggling in their personal and professional lives and eagerly take on the roll which leads to about a 48 hour period where just about every misunderstanding and funny situation that could happen - does.
I usually don't like Bryce Dallas Howard or Orlando Bloom but they were great here. It is too bad this went to streaming as I think it could have done well in the cinema.

This is the kind of show you can put on in the background and do other things. It reminded me of many USA type shows like Monk. But to tamper expectations... it isn't one you have to watch carefully.
The premise works a lot better than expected. In a small town outside Seattle the local chief of police has his two kids as the town detectives. The daughter normal but too nice and the son sort of awkward and on the spectrum.
As mentioned in other reviews the kids chemistry is good even in a brother sister context and both kids have love interests to add to the story so there is other things happening.
