This movie could have been in the list of Bests of KFI but one thing, in my opinion, was not there. That one thing is fight sequences. It was so unnecessary for the whole plot. Everything is so to point, how can I describe that.
As my review title suggests, when there was no concept of dark comedy this movie starts off with great first half. First half is so intelligent, every dot is connected well. But, in the era where you have to have some "masala" for mass audience, the second half serves that purpose sub optimally. If everything was only emotion and "Drama" this movie would have been a 10/10.

The narration, the acting and the characters, everything aligned properly. The almost representation of the Uttara Karnataka style slang, it is no joke. Some directors try hard to write dialogues and fail. The upcoming actor/s in the movie have done a great job. Every character has a purpose, no hollowness in any character. The movie has no glamour, yet it is a movie of great hook and story line. Need more of these movies. The direction effectively balances emotional moments with lighter scenes, though the pacing is occasionally slow. The soundtrack complements the film's tone, enhancing emotional impact, while the cinematography captures the beauty of the setting, whether rural landscapes or vibrant culture. While the movie has some predictable elements, it remains enjoyable, particularly for fans of character-driven dramas. It may appeal more to viewers who appreciate emotional, family-oriented stories. Overall, "Shakhahari" is a heartfelt film with meaningful storytelling, making it a worthwhile watch despite minor shortcomings like pacing and familiar plot points.
