I loved the original. From the story to the characters to the beautiful music by John Powell. I was worried that they might ruin it with the live action just as Disney mostly has with their live action remakes.

They did not ruin it. They left in everything that made the original film beautiful and added just enough reality to create a masterpiece. They didn't change the melody or theme of the music but instead added to it. The soundtrack was left intact with a few added melodies that enhanced. The cinematic shots are gorgeous and every actor nailed their parts. I'm so proud of dreamworks studios for understanding what people want in their films and what not to change in this groundbreaking remake. Loved it.

This was the coolest North Pole and Santa Claus ever seen on the big screen. Jk Simmons is great as Santa and Bonnie hunt was great to see as Mrs claus. Chris evens did well along with the rock. I loved the Presidential feel they gave to Santa and the elf body guards. The story was clever and entertaining. If you're looking for the Christmas spirit then you won't find it here, although that was easy to see in the trailer. It's an action film and had plenty of laughs. I could have had less bikini girls in the film which is why it's only a 9 out of 10, but overall, it was okay to watch with my kids. A fun film.

I started off enjoying this film. The people working at the flag company were diverse in cultures and seemed to share a love for the country that welcomed them in and they had a love for the flag making they did for their living. The problem for me started when they brought in the political division and solely focused on the right side as bad and the left as good and victims of the right. The problem with doing that, is that you create more division in race and culture unnecessarily. The reality is that there is good people and bad people that believe any certain idea. The film focused on Jan 6th riot calling it deadly when the only person killed was a rioter shot by capitol police. The film shows sadness from the flag makers, but there is never a mention of the blm riots that burned cities and killed police and citizens. They mention George Floyd but only as a victim of stupid cops and not who he was. If we truly want a peaceful, fair and just America, then let's all stop and realize what politicians and media are doing as they spread one side views that divide and cause hatred. We all are equal and we all should show both sides of a situation to paint a real picture of what we need to do to foster love and appreciation for all people.
