Wicked was incredible with electrifying scenes, colors, and atmosphere. The acting and singing by Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande were powerful. It was beautiful and haunting and exciting and touching and filled with memorable songs. There were cleverly placed items that were predecessors to the original Wonderful Wizard of Oz. There was a mixture of audience consisting of children with adults and adults without children of all ages. It was a longervthan usual movie and worth every minute. I normally don't return to a theater to see the same movie again, but I am going to do just that. This movie is worth it.
My favorite version of Salem's Lot was the original. The 2024 version was good. The intro music was chilling. Although the actors were good, the beginning of the movie dialogue was flat. There are few actors who can live up to the 1979 Salem Lot, James Mason's characterization of Straker and his wife, Clarissa Caye Mason who played Mrs. Glick. I liked the familiar scenes and imaginative new scenes. I wished there had been extended build up to the introduction of Barlow. The movie was hurried along because of limited movie time. Had this been another mini series, like the original it may have been more exciting.
This Salem's Lot is worth watching, especially if you read the book and watched the original movie.

Leaving the World Behind is a thought provoking movie filled with suspense. Whether intentional or not it illustrates interaction between people during a crises. The music added to the tension as well as special effects including memorable scene while everyone is comfortable relaxing until the build up to the fascinating event. The plot keeps one guessing and anxiously awaiting explanation.
The plus for me was there were no depictions of animals being injured or gore that some movies are injected with to shock the audience. This movie relied on story telling through great acting, production and directing.
