Being from Launceston, and travelling back there regularly, I got a great kick out out of this movie. It deals with the tragic events of the early colonial period through strong characters and great story telling brilliantly.
The farcical 4:3 (or whatever it is) perspective means I haven't been able to anyone else to actually watch it. It's only because of Netflix I know it exists. Presumably some pretentious 'artistic' decision, what a shame.

Is this really the best we can do?
Actors did a good job with the material they were given.
Cinematography was professional.
At the end of the day, without a story what's the point.
...Contrived mess. What a waste of talent. Step 1: Tell a good story with real characters. The message will get through. 2 stars as I guess its heart is in a good place.
