I have watched all episodes of Resident Alien and love the first couple of series. Series three went way off the deep end though with too many changes, characters and storylines...many that I really couldn't care less about.
This is the last series and episode 5. I liked the first couple of episodes tidying up from series 3 but now it feels like there is a lot of filler padding out the series to the ten episodes. Perhaps 6 or 8 episodes max would have been better.
I am "watching" this episode as I write the review and honestly couldn't give a fig about Harry's kids friends or Darcy and the dogs.
Right now I am just wanting the series to get on with the main characters and main stories and satisfyingly rounding them up and finishing the whole thing off.
It's a shame this programme is slogging along so. I used to love it at one time.

Well this movie is all over the place. I won't go into the details of the plot...as it is... because it's a load of bobbins.
I know it's a fantasy film but any story has to have some coherence in order for it to be watchable. This almost seems like a load of ideas, each written on a piece of paper and chucked in a jar. Then Tim Burton picks them out one at a time and the screenplay is whatever the list of random ideas looks like.
It is simply a mess. Which is just so disappointing.
For years Burton and Keaton said they would only do a sequel if the screams right....and this is it is it? I'd hate to see the ones they rejected.
The performances are good, the effect good and it looks the part. But my goodness it has just too many random characters and storylines that go nowhere and I just didn't care about anything or anyone by the end.
A total disappointment.

This film just left me completely cold. I hate to carry on the deliberate puns but it just had no life in it.
None of the characters had any character and seem to have been written by an AI that had never seen any of the previous movies. They were all just so dull and sad...the talents of ALL of the actors (who are good actors) was totally wasted.
The story, for what it is, is minor and regurgitated and rehashed as if from some random pick & mix box of tropes from a million other stories of this ilk.
It was photographed well, acted well (despite the lacklustre dialogue and scenes) and the effects were decent.
But it was just a 'nothing' of a movie and a waste of money to make and watch.
All in all it was just totally inconsequential and meh. A shame.
