Mirai is a mythological rooted story that revolves around nine sacred books that need to be safeguarded from evil forces. Although the storyline follows grounds we've seen before, Teja Sajja yet again delivers a fine performance after Hanuman. Ritika Nayak plays her part with innocence, while Shriya Saran and Jagapathi Babu act maturely. The villain character played by Manchu Manoj feels like a weak link and isn't presented in terms of looks, personality, or outfit choices in a way that creates the much-needed terror. Tanja Keller kills it in action but lacks in the acting department.
The special effects department really deserves praise for making it look so seamless within the budget. The background score by Gowra Hari elevates the narrative well, and the fight choreography pans out effectively. The writing works well in the flashback sequences, but on the other hand, the comedic tone rarely lands and unnecessarily deviates the storyline at regular intervals. Overall, Mirai is a routine sort of "chosen one" story, but the technical departments of the movie make it a good watch.

Vash Level 2 really elevates its tonality of storytelling from its predecessor, taking viewers on a wild and intense ride into the world of vashikaran. Directed by Krishnadev Yagnik, the movie wastes no time setting things up and jumps straight into the tension build-up, keeping you glued to your seat. The camera work and editing patterns complement each other beautifully, gradually immersing you into the film's atmosphere. Performances by Hiten Kumar and Hitu Kanodia are mature, fitting seamlessly with the writing. The film is packed with unexpected, intense moments that keep the momentum alive.
The background score works well in sync with the story's progression. While there are a few long dialogue exchanges between pivotal characters, they don't feel like a distraction. Janki has a very minimal role, but she pours her emotions out in that one scene. Being just 100 minutes long, the movie avoids unnecessary subplots and stays focused. However, the ending is where the film falters, the climax feels pale and convenient compared to the strong buildup, leaving you wishing for something more impactful. Overall, Vash 2 is worth experiencing in theatres for its intense & no-nonsense storytelling.

Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra by Dominic Arun is the start of
a very ambitious universe. The film sets the stage for something much bigger and teases us with what to expect through many brilliantly integrated cameos. Coming to the film itself, it takes Kerala folklore and transforms it into a superhero story & successfully so. The first half strikes a perfect balance of comedy and drama. However, the second half is where the universe truly starts to expand. That said, the second half could have been tighter, and the climax felt a little less dramatic compared to the build-up. The art design and overall look and feel of the film are commendable, while the editing and background score elevate the camerawork. The characters are also quite engaging.
Kalyani delivers a good performance as Chandra.
Naslen shines yet again as the awkward young guy.
Arun Kurian and Chandu provide solid support. Sandy, as the policeman, is superb and brings an unsettling presence to the screen. As for the cameos, Chathan's mischievous character was a delight, and we can't wait to see more of him in the next film. Now that we know who Mothoon and Yama are, the universe feels even more intriguing. And believe me when I say the loudest cheer was for a cameo that lasted just three seconds. Overall, Lokah has some flaws but it delivers a fantastic start to a brilliantly set-up universe, an entertaining film that truly deserves a theatrical watch.
