  • Fair

Ballerina is a fair movie. Lots of great action sequences, and a great cameo by John Wick (Keanu Reeves ( who like Tom Cruise is starting to show his age)). The problems are 1: The lack of character development except for Eve ( Ana De Armas). 2: Certain scenes like the ones in the Alps where the fight scenes basically turn into a video game. No better example is when Eve fights the guy with the flamethrower with water. 3: You can also tell the scene where she is supposed to be driving in the Alps, was completely fake. They did not even try and show Eve or a stunt double driving. Anyway it is not a bad film and for the action scenes and the John Wick cameo I give it 5/10 stars.

  • Really Good

The Naked Gun is actually a funny movie. Is it great? No that is reserved for Animal House, the Original Naked Gun and others. However, this is the funniest movie Hollywood has come up with in the 2020's, Why it works? Liam Nesson (Frank Drebin jr), does not try to imitate his father played by the late Leslie Nielsen, who is very much like Inspector Clouseau of Pink Panther fame. Rather, Neeson who works best as an action hero, uses those skills in a comedic way. Another plus is Frank's love interest Beth Davenport (Pam Anderson). She actually works better than Priscilla Presley who shows up in a cameo as his mom. Last but not least, it is really Neeson's film all the way so it is not about Police Squad, which makes it is completely different film than the others or the TV series. Anyway I give it 8/10 stars. Well worth watching ( even if you are not familiar with the original).
