Our Man In Marrakesh aka Bang Bang Your Dead is a very disappointing movie. Why? It had beautiful women like Senta Berger ( Kyra Stanovy) and Margaret Lee ( Samia Voss) and an effective villain is Casmir ( Herbert Lom). The problems. 1: The producers added the comedy element to it: If it would have been a serious spy movie it would have been better. 2: Tony Randall as the lead. Randall is an actor that is best in small doses like The Odd Couple or The Art of Love. Anyway. 4/10 stars ( mostly for the ladies)
I was unsure about The Royal Family Of Broadway. Don't care for the Director George Cukor, not into stage type films, never saw Ina Claire before, but like John Barrymore in movies, since I read it was a satire of the Barrymore's I tried it.. My opinion: Flat out boring, and could not sit through the entire movie: I can understand why Ethel Barrymore hated this picture. As for the main star Ina Claire, she does absolutely nothing for me. Not pretty, overly sophisticated and has no energy. But to be fair, there is only one actress that could have made me like this movie; Irene Dunne ( not even personal favorites like Myrna Loy or Fay Wray). Why? She can be sophisticated and funny at the same time which was needed. 2/10 stars.
Mission impossible is not a show you identify with having a fun episode, but The Seal ( Season 2, Episode 9) is that exception. No one dies or even goes to jail. You knew something different was planned when Phelps picked Willy's picture first and Rollin's last. The next clue was seeing everyone laughing with Rusty The Cat. The Cat is the star of the episode, he has to steal a priceless jade artifact from greedy businessman Taggart ( Darrin McGavin) in order to return it to its rightful owners a strategic Asian Country. Of the IMF team, it is Rollin who dominates the episode. In fact, most episodes that had Rollin were the best in the series, which is why the show went downhill after Rollin (Martin Landau) and Cinnamon ( Barbara Bain) left after Season 3. Anyway a very fun episode and one of the five best of the entire series. Don't miss it. I0/10 stars.
