This film as said is based on true events.
It's not completely true. All characters are not exactly the ones as being represented. Things are just added to spice up things.
But we can't deny that there was terror in Kashmir. It was a land where establishing law and order was being difficult. And it also was costing India a lot to maintain it there.
But after abrogation of article 370, it's no more the case. Maybe BJP is not a perfect government. But at least now Kashmir has a proper government. And people there know that they can rely on law and order.
But other than controversies, the movie is well directed and the performances are great!

Everyone told me that the action is great!
I watched the movie and I was just sitting waiting for the actions.
Actions may have been mounted to extra and bloody, but that movie is annoying.
It's plain boring. There's no story, just a stubborn guy who has a mental problem roaming around doing what he wants. And turns out that guy is the protagonist of the film.
It is so weird how people are celebrating such madness. Some people are actually laughing to nonsense jokes in the movie.
Turns out not all people like it. Tons of people hate the movie too.
Waste of time. Forget about whether things are toxic or not, the movie is pure boredomness.

This movie actually proves that they are really trying hard.
It's really nothing new. Nothing unexpected. Sometimes it even goes in a direction that builds up expectations for you but then you get disappointed.
It's like the villain is creating a big problem, but then he ends up not harming anyone. Or lots of action scenes are being cut, to another angle... you get to know that they are hiding mistakes or weaknesses in cinematography.
They are trying nice things to make it better, I am not saying they are doing nothing. And this is a good sign. But you can see Bollywood is still lagging behind. Especially in terms of storytelling.
You can see how they are taking Mission Impossible feel and mixed it with Indian story. You can see how they are trying to take cinematography from Hollywood and South India (ahem Lokesh Kanagaraj ahem).
