This movie proposes too little cinematography, character depth, and a weak storyline. It is hard to like and sympathize with the characters. Most of the movie doesn't feel like watching a movie or being involved in something noticeable.
Onur Saylak and Hakan Gunday did a great job by creating this series. Some dialogs were written for readers, which doesn't suit TV language. Also, the characters don't resolve as they should, and many stories are left untold. You expect a strong breakdown from the main character or an opening throughout the series, but it never arrives. The Punk character of Oktay didn't serve him enough.
An absolute watch though. Great cinematography with absurd & lovely characters. The storyline gives chills to anybody who lived Punk life style through those years.

I try to watch every movie that has been made about WWII. This one wasn't a disaster but rather disappointing.
The movie has a good tone, cast, and production design. However, the story lacks a good path, characters lack depth, and the beautiful streets of Prag don't provide more than a good film set (or wherever it is they used as a set).
I've found Josef's relationship way too superficial, and it's no more profound than an average app-date.
