Honestly, from the trailer it didn't look all that great, so I went in with pretty low expectations. But once I actually started streaming it, I was pleasantly surprised-it turned out to be a solid workplace comedy, even if there were a few misses along the way.
I think if the writers are given more time to settle into the characters, the show could really grow in future seasons. It doesn't try to be The Office, and that's a good thing-the characters have their own personalities and dynamics, which makes it feel fresh.
At first, Esmeralda really got on my nerves, but once she and Ned started working things out, her character became much more enjoyable. By the time she's on screen around episode 5 or 6, her moments are genuinely funny. Hopefully the writers keep building on that.
Now, after finishing the first season, I actually do have higher expectations for the second. With some more polish and character development, this show could really hit its stride.

I haven't been this excited to watch a finale in a while, and surely this live more than the expectations. Specially from what the early reviewers had to say with the finale being divisive. It was the perfect blend of jaw dropping scenes, suspenseful moments, and some mind boggling decisions.
The whole structure of this seasons makes me want to just start with season four, if it was here now, because surely it feels the need to keep on watching more. The show got so many things right this season, and adding so many new elements for us to learn and wanting to keep learning more. It's the epitome of fantasy tv for now. Hopefully we will get it soon, cause this sure did not feel like an ending.
