I thought this was a supernatural thriller with half-baked CGI after the first episode but actually it's a complex, well written and acted commentary on human behaviour. I love this show.
The depth of many characters is well developed, even over just a couple of episodes. The pace still stays high and there are plenty of creative twists and turns even within an episode.
Some of the action sequences are exceptional. The opening car chase in S2E2 is better than I've seen in many big budget movies. The emotional complexity and connection with various characters is surprisingly strong and I just wonder why I hadn't heard about it sooner.

Latecomer here. I had this suggested by Netflix, presumably after watching mostly subtitled series recently!
The first series is the best but the 2nd and 3rd kept me hooked too. The end of series 2 is something to behold. The only slight criticism is Bob/Steve/Peter seems to get away with some pretty far fetched bs on occasion. You have a fairly standard "what can go wrong usually does" story arc but the twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat and the soundtrack plays a big part in that.
Great production, acting and character development. I seem to have started walking like Ferry Bouman since binging this over the last 3-4 weeks.

I enjoyed this up until the last episode. The acting is great. Another review questioned criticism of the acting based on dubbing but I only ever use subtitles.
Setup is done well and drew me in, there is enough going on to make you curious although some of the revelations are dragged out, the effects are good enough with only one or two dodgy bits of CGI. The relationship between Sven and Charlie is nuanced and convincing. Most of the other characters are delivered well although space jock being allowed on the ISS seemed ludicrous.
The ending felt a bit anti-climactic to me as well as completely infeasible but the message about how we deal with crises as a species seems sadly accurate at the moment.
Final comment - one other scathing review poured scorn on the idea of someone being able to listen in on radio transmissions between Paula and Charlie. If you're going to watch sci-fi, maybe consider understanding a bit of science first.
