Brilliant film and a Christmas week cinema showing that I look forward to every year. Sound track is superb and the performance of Donald Sutherland is one of his best. Some really classic lines plus great cinematography. Can't fault it hence the 10 score. First watched it aged 10.....and am still watching it aged 50.
I had high hopes for this - my hopes were that this would be a serious film. Unfortunately not - it harks back to a 1980's horror flick but mixed with a bit of modern day pretentious art. This is a long way from the trailer - don't be fooled. There are elements here of The Thing (great film) but not when mixed in with The Budapest hotel. Demi Moore does a decent job - but Dennis Quaid does better. It is the script writers that let this down really (and director). It last about 40mins too long, just gets silly and I ended up regretting not having watched the latest Liam Neeson movie instead.....
PS - Does this review contain spoilers? How on earth could I spoil this one?

And am not kidding.
Is J-Lo now a "Poundshop Sandra Bullock". Just a lot of over-acting trying to overcome a terrible script. Its terrible........almost as much shouting as a Christmas Eastenders special. In the words of "Comic book Guy" - WORST FILM EVER. That might be an exaggeration, but at least Hallmark films can be categorized as background noise - who would want background shouting?
This review needs 600 characters - maybe that's what this film needed. 600 characters so that at least one or 2 of them could act. Unsure if I should watch all the credits at the end - if there's a recipe for Brownies (like there was at the end of Hot-Shots) then at least there would be something positive I could write....
