This show is so entertaining! The script is so well written without trying too hard. It felt completely effortlessly funny and it was expertly casted. The lead actor deserves an award. I have never seen another character played like him in any show Ive watched before. Ive rewinded scenes over and over again because they were so funny. The dynamic between the two sheriffs is hilarious and unique. The scenarios are creative. If you like dry joke delivery with a deadpan stare you will find this entertaining. This show absolutely deserves a long run. This is a new favorite. Everyone working on this cast and crew should be so proud!

There are so many renovation shows out there that come in, rip everything out, and then replace it all with cookie cutter soulless colorless trash.

This show has such good vibes! They infuse all the spaces with character instead of making them white boxes and the premise of making homes more functional for families is so beautiful! I love when they show bits of organization and processes that make your house more efficient so viewers can take that information and make their own houses run more smoothly with it. I hope that this show gets many more seasons! The families featured are also so deserving of a better lifestyle and these designers are very thoughtful of function and each family members personality. Probably one of my favorite reno shows now.

Casting felt very forced which pulls you out of the story. Jake does a good job. Some of the fighting scenes were interesting. You could tell this was a very new Hollywood update of a classic movie. Some of the dialogue needed work.

McGregor was also an odd choice. His permanent smiling expressions and him walking like he had hemorrhoids was very hard to move past. Sometimes you couldn't understand what he was even saying.

Overall the movie was fun and if youre looking for a time killer its an okay option but I would probably just stick to the classic movie where the story and characters feel less contrived.
