Bom Dia & Cia was one of my favorite shows as a child and also the best children's show that SBT has ever had. The show was responsible for boosting the career of Eliana and other artists over the years. I really love how well done the show was in its early years with Eliana and especially with Jackeline Petkovic at the helm. This had a good variety of children's cartoons, the sets, the puppets and sketches, the best time was that of Jackeline Petkovic. However, after Jackeline left in 2003, the show began to decline drastically: it had less variety in the cartoons and many reruns of the same cartoons, it focused too much on tests to give out prizes, it had no puppets and the presenters only served to announce the cartoons and talk to the viewers. However, after Priscilla and Yudi were replaced by other bad presenters in the 2010s until the channel owner's daughter, Silvia Abravanel, arrived, the show practically jumped the shark. If I could, I would give the show a 10/10 based on the first years, but as Bom Dia & Cia has drastically declined in quality over its 30 years my rating will only be 5/10.
I made a video talking about this film on YouTube, at first the video went well, without any copyright issues, but after a while it seems that the creator of the film saw my video criticizing the violent content and he gave me a strike! Like, what goes through this person's head to do something like that? Doesn't he know how to accept criticism for his film? And the most ironic thing is that this was supposed to be an educational film. And all I did was just talk about some scenes from the movie, this is a complete lack of respect and immaturity in wanting to throw a strike just because of a criticism of his movie.
I've been watching this cartoon recently, all episodes and the movie, I can say this show is pretty average. The animation tries to be one of those shows in the style of Courage the Cowardly Dog and Grim Adventures, but it fails a lot because of the ugly characters and the annoying protagonist that is Pepe, in addition to the excess of gross out jokes. The only characters I liked were Marilu, Guto, Gastón and Roberto, but Pepe is the character that ruins the show the most.
This is one of those shows with a lot of wasted potential, but unfortunately he is mostly forgettable, including by the movie.
