If you can look past the actors are all 25-35 pretending to be in high school. It appeared as if China is stuck in the 80's with the tight fitting pants and rolled up cuffs with no socks. Only to get hit in the face with Gimmick tennis. Where every single person has their own special move with its own post production effect added in to sell it to the audience. Every attempt at "comedy" was so extremely bad I literally cringed every time. You could say the acting is horrible, but to be fair the show didn't give them a lot to work with so don't hold it against them. Every thing was over the top none sense, so your basic Chinese made show is what it comes down too.

Turkish written an produced depiction of history as seen by through the eye of a Turkish Muslim today. I see so many 10/10 scores in the review section, and it's just not that good. Going off the quality of the show itself, the best way to describe it would be to say if you gave a large budget to a film school grad, this would be what your get. Large scale but lacking any true depth. History may be accurate I don't know enough to say either way, but the over the top garbage they have the main character doing is foolish. Walking around wearing a 1 handed sword that is longer then any 2 handed sword ever made , slung across the front of his belt. Great way to trip yourself. Group go hunting to find food for the tribe, leaves camp swinging a battle ax. Are they hunting a T-Rex? Fight senses are straight out of Xena Warrior Princess. Main character is the good guy, and everyone else is the stereo typical bad guy. Watching Templar Knights killing each for the sole purpose of demonstrating how Evil Christians are was really interesting to see, because it did nothing at all for the plot of the show. Made it almost to the end of 1st episode before pulling the plug on this over rated show.

This retelling of the story had so much potential. reading just a few of the reviews you can see people wanted to like it, they really really did. But what we got was just so bad that is took me 5 sittings to make it through the entire movie. It felt small, yet over produced, It had Jamie Foxx in it, and he is an amazing actor, which gave me hope, but even he could not save this pig.
