Becky marries Rawdon for his family's wealth. His father , jealous of Beck's love , disinherits him. She moves on to Lord Steyne and his money. Rawdon is arrested for his gambling debts. She cries in front of him as she leaves with the guards but rides soon after. Freed by his brother, Rawdon returns to find Lord Steyne and he beats him.
