Glad this movie finally came out. I watched because it was a "BMX movie" and at the half century mark BMX is important to me. I still ride! But the movie was way more than a BMX movie. John Buultjens' story is a great story that more people in today's world need to hear. He is livening proof a bad start in life can be overcome.
The "Girl in the Spider's Web" movie is to "The Girl With a Dragon Tatoo" movie as "Fire" and "Hornets Nest" are to the first book. Worthy continuations that keep you wanting more, but never achieving that original satisfaction. There's always a feeling of we've been there and done that or maybe a thought of, "well, ain't that convenient". So really what I'm saying is, no matter what you think of either movie, you're missing a whole lot if you haven't read the books!
I'd say the biggest reason it was a flop is advertising. I had no idea the movie was even made until it was leaving theaters. Still and all a good movie that carries on Lisbeth Salander quite well in my opinion.
