This is was so terrible. It starts off okay on the boat, but then once it switches to the asylum it all goes to hell. We don't even know what it going on, why is the doctor mean?? why is there a ghost lady?? what does shes have anything to do with the movie? It's like two movies in one. Is it about a ghost or about the mermaid? The mermaid was pretty but she has zero personality. How can I root for her? Is she bad or good? Why did this movie try to be horror? It's not horror, nor drama, more like a weird fantasy. I liked the start but that's it. Everything else is terrible. Reviews are rigged.

Not everyone will like this movie. It's a slow-paced movie about two young people that fall in love during the summer... and that's it. Nothing really happens. They talk, spend time together, make love, sing songs, talk some more... It's just a ''feeling'' movie. There isn't really a story besides watching them be together and enjoy the summer. Not to say it's a bad thing though. I enjoyed it. It was a pleasant watch. My only grip is that there is no ending at all. I just ends. You don't know what will happen next and there is absolutely no explanation to the ''mystery'' surrounding the guy. You just have to imagine it. Not bad, but not for everyone.

The production was very low-budget clearly even from the start, the acting is wooden and it feels like watching a play at a theater. The story at first interested me a bit, but after 20 minutes, I realized this was not going to be a good movie. I gave it my all to stay awake and watch the whole thing, but it never really got better. It was boring and hard to watch because of the low-budget. I know this is not horror and I did not go in thinking it was horror, but I still found it very slow even for a period drama. It's just not compelling. And I usually like indie films, but this is just bad. I'm sure the people who made the movie wanted to do something good, but sorry, it really needed more work to even be remotely enjoyable to watch.
