I'm not familiar with the book, so the movie is either a well made film of a story with many plot holes, or it's an ok film that missed the mark telling a good story. I'm a fan of Keira Knightly and she helps move the story along nicely. If however you get ptsd from gaslighting and main characters having to navigate that, this may not be the movie for you.
