I'm so confused about the low ratings given to the show? It's actually really good given that it's based on a true story.

The script and writing are so good for a short series. Really funny overall but with a few thoughtful analyses. The pacing was superb, it was non-stop action throughout without a dull moment.

What really blew me away was the acting. Renee Zellweger's characterization of Pam Hupp was phenomenal! Really wish we could have seen more of her (if it wasn't based on a true story).

Also have to mention appreciated that the directors/writers were able to present the case while respecting the victims instead of glorifying the criminal.

Totally recommend!

To start with the positives, the acting was great on all counts.

The concept was good too, lame professor starts appearing in people's dreams and gains fame only for the dreams to turn into nightmares and for him to become ostracized by society.

I just didn't seem to enjoy the second half of the movie because it just seemed to go nowhere and felt very boring.

I was thinking that the movie was leading up to a profound analogy (zebras referenced a lot for their ability to cammoflouage in herds) or critique of cancel culture or something similar but none of that happened. It just kept repeating the same variations of the "scenario" of him trying to defend himself etc.

Not sure if I'd recommend this one.

Let's start with the obvious, rating a 2005 film (a 2005 COMEDY film) in 2024 means you should take this review with a grain of salt.

However, that's just to say that I found this movie to be overall kinda mediocre and questionable. Maybe we had a better sense of humor back then... maybe.

I genuinely think that this movie pigeonholed itself into being unfunny by forcing every joke to be raunchy.

Of course, the star of the movie and what made it palatable was Steve Carrel. His delivery was hilarious.

I'm glad I watched it, to get it off my watch list. But I'm definitely not going to be rewatching.

In short, watch for Steve.
