The movie is so sad. Etta was a jerk for taking Edwina's baby away from her. When I first saw this movie, I cried when it was over. Just because Hailus fell in love with Edwina and not Etta, doesn't mean that Etta had the right to take her baby away. There were other children that Etta could have adopted.
The first time that I saw this movie was at school when I was in junior high. I always felt bad for Amy because her parents forced her to take Louanne everywhere that she went. They would not allow Amy to have a personal life. Anytime Louanne would get in trouble, Amy was forced to take the heat. Their parents would not let Louanne learn how to be independent.
