This is not your typical alien-invasion film. You not only have aliens (duh), but you have demolition derby, car and motorcycle chase sequences, orbs, portals, country music, rednecks (sort of) and even zombies.

I believe "Alien County," although a low-budget affair, has some decent special effects going for it. I'm not saying that it'll dazzle you or anything, but it's decidedly competent in that regard.

What stands out to me most, however, is the dialogue, which is well written, witty, smart and often hilarious. I recommend turning on the closed captions, because the one-liners come at you at a breakneck pace. In fact, there's an abundance of quotable lines here, and the acting is solid.

As far as the production goes, this film is well directed, the sound is excellent and the cinematography is above average.

"Alien Country" is entertaining form start to finish, and there's really not a dull moment throughout the movie.

I'm glad I stumbled upon this one. It's pretty good.

You know what? For a very low-budge film, I thought the filmmakers and actors did a reasonably good job.

Granted, it looks like it was shot with a handy cam, or something, and the sound wasn't all that great. But it doesn't really matter.

Clocking in at just under an hour, "Reticent" is sweet, corny, tragic and, frankly, at least for me, captivating. It's also quite sweet in many ways, and the dialogue, while not stellar, is passable.

I love stumbling across indy films that are watchable, and "Reticent" is about as indy as you can get.

When I saw that the film had no previous reviews or even ratings on IMDB, I knew I had to at least give it a shot. I'm glad I did.

I give it a 7/10 because of the effort put into the film. It really can't be compared to anything I've seen, and I did quite enjoy the experience. What more could you ask for in a film such as this?

This movie was so boring, I nearly called it quits halfway through. The opening scene was mildly entertaining. In fact, all the "chase" scenes held my attention, for the most part. It was the middle section that killed it for me. It's almost like they blew the entire budget on the chase sequences, and had nothing left for the middle accept to film pointless, irrelevant dialogue that did nothing to advance the plot in any meaningful way. During this section of the movie, I found myself saying, out loud, "OK, let's move this thing along!" It was a brutal exercise in enduring mind-numbing submediocrity. 3/10.
