  • Saw this movie as "All I Want"

This film was shown three times on Starz Encore the week of September 1st (2003) under its alternate title: "All I Want". Anyone wanting to see this fine film on premium cable may want to check both titles in the future. I agree with all the previous comments, and highly recommend this film.

  • Great feel for the outdoors!

Overlong, but the wide-screen cinematography (a must-see in letter-box format), music score and character relationship of Holden and O'Neal, make this one of my favorite westerns. As a nature-lover, I find the outdoor scenes, especially the horse-breaking in the snow, among the best I've seen in any western. The cinematography in this scene is breath-taking, exhilarating and thrilling. The superb and beautiful music score by Jerry Goldsmith adds to the overall enjoyment of this film. Please, M-G-M, bring this film out on DVD. It needs to be seen in it's original, uncut, widescreen version so it can take it's place along other great western films.

  • Excellent, powerful film that will stick in your memory

I saw this film only once, on TV back in the 50s, then titled as "The Hidden Room". It has stuck in my memory for almost 50 years, based on that one viewing. I can still picture scenes in my mind today. Hope this one shows up on DVD someday. Does anyone out there have a video copy?
