  • To boldly go ?

Well, I am a Star Trek fan of many years, so why do I enjoy this ?

It is a good film, in short it is funny.

The cast is first class, Tim Allen is a personal favourite of mine, and his TV show Home Improvement is always a must watch, but with Ms Weaver and Mr Rickman in the cast too this had to be more than the 'average' movie comedy.

To see such high profile stars such as Alan Rickman in a role far from how most remember him (the villain of Die Hard) makes you laugh in it's self, only my opinion but he should attack more comedy roles !

There are enough satirical swipes at sci-fi movie culture to make you laugh and think at the same time, the film like to poke it's tongue at fans of shows, and how involved they can be (and Yep I own a Star Trek suit so there).

If you are out to see a good comedy, then you can look forward to seeing this.

  • The One !

Well, being a sci-fi fan this was bound to please

It did more, it spellbound to the extreme where you actually want to question the reality.

I first saw this in the cinema, and WOW was the only thing to say, it's black and bleak look at mans self destruction, only to become a battery for machines.

Keanu Reeves plays what has to be his best role to date as Neo/Anderson, the naive choosen one. Lead by a solid story and excellect direction the film goes from jaw dropping effect to stark thought.

It's good to see a film which was lauched UK side with minimal promotion make such a huge impact, I had heard so many rumours of this script and it's effects it made the films a must go, now I am just counting the days until Matrix 2, Then Matrix 3 completes the story.

If you ask anyone who has seen the film it is going to be one of two answers, you either like it or you hate it, there doesn't seem to be too much inbetween, trust me, keep the open mind, watch it and enjoy it.

  • To Infinity and Beyond ?

Well it's a sequel, and I watched with trepidation, and glad to say I enjoyed every minute of this, it was good to see the voices of all the characters still voiced by the original actors/actresses, as well as welcoming new characters 'Stinky Pete the Prospector' and the Round-up gang, as well as a nemesis for Buzz ! Some very 'tounge in cheek' movie gags (Jurassic Park and Star Wars to name but two). I would hope in years to come to see more quality productions like this.

This will be a family favourite again.
