  • Hilarious!!

Great little two-minute short based on an old urban legend. I wish someone would release this along with Francine McDougall's other brilliant short, THE DATE (with great performances by Bart Johnson and Marla Sokolov). Francine, you're my hero! Keep 'em coming!

  • One of the best!

This short, written & directed by Randall Kleiser ("GREASE") while still a USC film student, is one of the most beautiful and moving shorts ever made. This is Kleiser's autobiographical tribute to his grandmother. Bruce Davison - one of the most talented and under rated actors of all time - stars as Kleiser's character (here referred to as 'Greg') as he and his family make a trip to see 'Peege' one last time before her passing. Touching, brilliant, and perfectly executed, this is the film all students and fans of filmmaking should see. A masterpiece.

Note: I met Kleiser last week in Lincoln, Ne during a lecture, and he did inform me the DVD with audio commentary is almost ready for release! Keep an eye out for it!

  • "You should watch it!" say my kids!

The following reviews are from my kids, Christopher (9), Kathleen (7) and Nora (4):

"You should watch Scream Team! I liked the four ghosts and all the characters and how they try to help each other. If it ever comes out on video you should get it. I thought it was funny." -Christopher

"It was a little scary, but I liked it! It was funny and I liked the end. There was a ghost who threw fireballs, his name was Zachariah. Scream Team was a good movie."

"It's really kind of scary and this guy throws fire. I liked it." -Nora

Okay, maybe I should worry about Nora and the fire thing. But the movie was very good, very well written and a cut above most tv fare. And I agree with Mary-Kate, having Melissa Hart's company behind it obviously helped propel it to a much higher standard. This movie quickly became a Halloween favorite with our family. Way to go, Disney, and the 'team' behinnd the 'scream'! Hopefully, the DVD is forthcoming...
