This is by far the best movie I have seen in a long time. Visually stunning, the light, the shots, the rhythm, the writing... It is absolute perfection. Joaquin and Lady Gaga are beyond words. I don't understand that this movie was not nominated for best actor best actress and best director. And why it is not up for best film is a travesty.

Something truly original has come along, that brings together so many classic elements in a whole new way that makes sense and tells a beautiful albeit deeply tragic story that grabbed me from the very first moment. And the last shot, in the background.... Wow! Did people even see that? So subtle yet profound and powerful.

Didn't want to do a spoiler so staying vague but it really is an "origin" story. The sociopathic villain, doesn't get revealed until the very last shot, and way in the background at that ... He does the signature move that identifies who he is.

I am stunned at how few people figured out what this was about. I think only one of the reviewers gave an explanation that made sense: too sophisticated and doesn't spoon feed you...

If you have a scientific mind, and spiritual stuff is kinda mumbo jumbo or just really out there for you.... Then this movie is for you.

If you love and know spirit, or are a seeker... Then this movie is for you.

Nothing more needs to be said but IMDb requires ten lines to post a review. Well, in that case, I will share that as I went on this masterful journey, every cell in my body quieted down. My minded became soothed, my logic became satiated, my devil's advocate went to take a nap. I felt love stir in my heart, for no reason with no object. I felt a deep desire to go try this at home...
