This is a terrible movie. I love zombie movies but this was just awful and the IMDb rating is not a real reflection of the movie's quality.
It's really not worth watching. The IMDb rating is a lie and made up of fake votes. At time of writing this, over half the voters (around 2500 votes) had given this movie 10/10. Whereas most real reviewers are giving it 4 or under. So be prepared for a poor show if you do give it a try.
Just hope this review will save you a couple of hours of your life. The story is really weak and the zombie scenes are not engaging as much as the movie tries. The movie is a joke and I really wish I could get back the two hours I lost on this rubbish. You have been warned.

If you appreciate cinematography and a plot with lots of twists then this is a move you will enjoy. The acting is good. The characters are contrasting and therefore interesting. It's quite a dark movie, definitely not something to watch if you want to be uplifted. Some of the scenes are quite brutal and sadistic.
This lack of respect towards others and inflicting pain on others without remorse seems to be a common theme in Japanese movies. I think this kind of fits with the Japanese stereotype of being cruel (particularly with their World War 2 shenanigans that we often see in movies).
One of my favourite Japanese movies 'Battle Royal' springs to mind. Despite being a different genre and leaning towards comedy/action, we see school children savagely ready to take each other out while the teacher tries to teach them a lesson on the values of life.
The main message here is about revenge. And revenge is sweet..... :)
