What Dominion did wrong was have a story as shallow as a rock pool and just shoe horned as many dinosaurs into a movie as they possibly could in the hope that it would create a good movie. Rebirth is the complete flip side of this.
While dominion had the usual loveable group of characters but lots of dinosaurs and a shallow story, Rebirth has much less dinosaurs in it and a better story all be it predictable, while all but three of the characters are as unlikeable as you get.
What saved it for me was the fact when the scenes with dinosaurs did happen, it had a bigger impact on the enjoyment of those scenes because the movie wasn't as flooded with them along with the emotional connection of the daughter with a baby Dino.
Was it great? No... But it wasn't overly diluted with dinosaurs with no thought for a story direction. The direction the story is going in is clear and while the characters might not be great, I went for the story and dinosaurs and I wasn't disappointed. Unlike Dominion, I can see me watching Rebirth again.

Personally AI is already becoming creepily intrusive into the real world as of late. The way the AI is portrayed in this film is actually not a massive leap from where it is already at. There are some genuinely creepy moments where the AI itself makes you feel claustrophobic like you are trapped in the world with the family. The acting of the couple make it easy to be sucked into the nightmare they are engaged in. Does the script and screenplay win awards? Of course not but it's as realistic to a real life situation that a thriller/horror can get and with it being so current just makes it all the more creepy.
I genuinely don't get the hate for this movie and what there is possibly to hate about it? The pacing is good, the acting is good, the story basic as it is is scarily realistic to the current situation we are in with AI. I don't know what people are expecting when they watch this movie? I was expecting a horror/thriller about an AI that slowly takes over a families life and makes it hell and that's exactly what it is. Nothing more nothing less. 7/10 for me.

Let me start by saying as much as I found this film a complete waste of time I can see how this horror movie could probably be scary and enjoyable to anyone religious. As it was I found two scenes in the entite film creepy and the religeous babble was really wasted on me.
That being said if your religeous this will probably be a phenomenal horror and the acting cannot be faulted at any point but I expected it to be a horror anyone could enjoy. If your religeous it's probably a must see, if your not you will probably just wonder why you bothered.
