People keep dying and people keep coming back to life. It was soo confusing with timeline jumping back and forth.
The confusion really started after first few episodes. I tried to keep watching as Trekkie fan. However, even the most hard core fans will find it hard to waste soo many hours in front of the screen, just trying to make sense of it all.
7.5 ratings really doesn't reflect the quality of this series. Most likely just trekkie fans trying to justify another season.
Season 3 might have salvage some of this series but who ever start watch TV series back to front or only one season?
Let's hope The producer really just make good fun and back to serious sci fi tv.

Rips off the setting wholesale from Harry Potter and tries to use this combined with some admittedly fantastic production values to cover its complete lack of interesting plot or characters. The protagonist is Generic Hard-working Protagonist Type 3 Subtype Beta, Pathetic but Overpowered variant, in pursuit of generic love interest girl (and that's the extent of his character so far). He is challenged by people on all sides opposing him due to Standard Anime Oppression Structure Type 1 Subtype Gamma, Mage Supremacy, in spite of the fact that his morning diet consists mainly of top tier mages and that he effortlessly overcomes every challenge set before him. In other words, under the thin veil of its setting it's as bland and generic as your average mass produced isekai.
This is the laziest kind of anime there is. The kind of plot based on inserting standard archetypes into a new setting built around some ideas the author finds interesting is already pretty lazy and far too common in anime and its source materials, but this isn't even doing that, preferring instead to lift its setting from another, far better story (and Harry Potter itself wasn't exactly the height of literature). As a result, you end up with something that simply has nothing of substance to offer at all.

First off the characters are not a Kraken, they look like fishes. Living on land with normal human like anatomical physical composition.
If that's not enough to convince even the youngest of viewers, the fact that they live exactly like human and act and behave like human is extremely disturbing.
If you can sit through 128mins of complete waste of time then I guess you can also go through others terrible movie like She Hulk.
Ruby Gillman is fine. Its a coming of age animated film with light action and that's about it. Nothing about it is particularly special, notable, or worth seeking out. The animation is kinda pretty if only for its emphasis on fluidity and I can see the idea behind it- this feels like of those Dreamworks shows that was supposed to have a Netflix spin-off.
