When I saw this film listed in my local newspaper as one of the ten worst movies of the year, after seeing it noted in similar fashion on other annual lists, I decided to do my small bit to counter that smear.

Its not a perfect film, its not a political film really, its a warning and to my mind a very potent one. This film presents one possible outcome for all of the rage, the hate, the one sided views and the utter lies that currently soak the USA and the world in a toxic stew. Fill the zone with crap as one prominent "thinker" expounds endlessly, and here is what you get.

I watched it on an airplane, which admittedly is one of the least desirable ways to view a film and I was transfixed and at the end sat in dark crowded cabin of the plane with a sick feeling in my stomach from what I had watched, not because it was bad but because it was so relentlessly on the mark.

Any film with a cast that includes Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons is going to be worth a watch, and the rest of the cast delivers as well. Its not a story so much as an experience.

I think everyone should watch this film and just think about it and where we are right now.
