This is hands down the best rendition of Superman in the last 40 years. I don't say that lightly and I highly respect the contributions of Christopher Reeves and Henry Cavil, but this series truly embodies the ideals of Superman in all aspects.
I cannot recommend this enough for Superman fans (and non Superman fans for that matter).
This series takes Superman in an entirely new direction, yes he's Superman, but he's not trying to figure out who he is or anything like dealing with complexities of hiding his identity
Tyler Hoechlin truly takes the character in a new dimension, Superman being a dad.
Yes, he's still Superman, and you'll see that in the series, but you don't see a tad of the old rehashed hiding his identity storylines.
If you watch this series, I really encourage you to watch all 4 seasons, it has one of the best conclusions to a series I have ever seen. You won't see Tyler Hoechlin pushing a planet, but you will see him inspire us all to be better people. This series and the character qualities he portrays is exactly what the world needs.

The first episode or two are fine, but then this thing dives off into a completely different character "Wade", the side kick deputy from the Sonic movies. Not Donut Lord, but his buddy Wade.
You'll see Wade as Knuckles trains him to be a warrior, then Knuckles eventually takes a back seat and is barely shown as for various reasons he isn't around and the show becomes all about Wade, his bowling aspirations, his false friends, and Wade's past family bowling conflicts will come back to haunt him.
The Knuckles' storyline that is actually about him is like a side plot in Knuckles' own show.
I'm not sure who asked for this, but this is a complete bait and switch series.
