  • My Name is James Tiberius Kirk

I just came back from a very advanced screening here in the U.K. and man was I blown away, now let set a few things straight right away, I am not a star trek fan, honestly before today had very little idea of what the whole deal was and the only line I really knew was "Beam me up, Scotty" (they don't use this line in the film), The film starts as I was explained by a very enthusiastic Trekkie, in the beginning before the whole star trek universe had started, so I guess thats a good thing for someone not very attune with the whole concept. Zachary Quinto and Chris Pine were both amazing as Spock and Kirk. I thought Pine did a really good job as Kirk but since I don't know what Shatner was like, I cant really comment if he was better. Now one good thing JJ Abrams has done is that he has put up a lot of comedy in the film, thus even though its supposed to be serious stuff going on the comedic edge keeps things fun. Simon Pegg as Scott was brilliant. This review wont be complete without mentioning the top notch CGI, the graphics were amazing, they made the whole affair a pleasant feast for the eyes. Now I have heard that a lot of die hard Trekkie's don't like this film on some grounds, I don't really know what they are but I felt that is a must watch after an amazing Wolverine this just puts more fun in this years whole summer movie showdown.

  • Very Underrated movie

I have to be honest, when this movie came out I wasn't very keen on seeing this movie, even though it had Vince in the lead whose comedy i really like, it was the whole premise of the movie which was putting me off and reading the reviews did not help either because they were not doing the movie any justice. Now finally after a good 8 or 9 months of the films theatrical release, I happened to get it on DVD and boy was I surprised. This film is not your average Vince Vaughn comedy film with lots of slick lines, it has a very few of those, I think this was marketed a little bit vaguely because it certainly is not a comedy but it is a good drama/family movie with quite a lot of heart and especially if you have a brother, watch this movie it wont change your life or anything but for those 2 hours it will make you feel good about yourself.

  • 2 hours something minutes of my life never coming back.

I recently got an opportunity to see Cash, well I wasn't expecting much from the film but even then it was a disappointing affair.

Even though the movie has an excellent line up of stars, some how their true potential could not be extracted.

A lot of animation was unnecessarily used in this movie perhaps to save money which would otherwise have been used for SFX.

The movie had so many goofs, it seemed the editing team was asleep while cutting the final prints.

All in all Ajay Devgan has some good moments but they are a far cry from saving this move. Watch this at your own risk.
