I have seen this movie for the first time when i was 15 in SPAIN/Madrid and i never forgot the movie.
now at 29 years old i finally managed to purchased a DVD copy once and for all, i had tears when watching this one, it is an excellent movie and i will never understand why people bashed it.
this is possibly one of the best and most emotional movies from Martin Sheen acting here is top notch, Christian Slater and all the others are very good too. sure there are bit of cliché' here and there but no movie is ever perfect is it?
i assure you by the end of the movie you will be so impressed as long as you keep an open mind.
this for me scores 9/10
and please, if you ever get the chance, rent it or buy it.

i'll go straight to the point......i'm a horror and thrillers movie fan, occasionally though i like to watch different genre but i'm a horror head.
why do i say this? because BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY is the best love or romance movie i have ever seen in my 29 years of life. period.
this is a movie i could watch over and over, superb acting from mr. Eastwood and mrs Maryl Streep, the way everything happened flows so naturally and the view, the place and everything else is sooooo beautiful i forgot during the whole movie where the f****** am i.
let alone the tears i cried during the movie, hell just thinking about it make me cry, i won't spoil it for you......this is a movie you MUST watch!! i already bought the DVD (2 copies) in case one is ruined then i have a backup. LOL my fave top #5 movies of all times ever and ever are: 1 - The Exorcist 2 - Groundhog Day 3 - Donnie Darko 4 - Bridges Of Madison County * 5 - Hp. Lovecraft - The Unnamable if that doesn't show you how much i adore this movie, nothing will! please get the movie, watch it ....you'll thank me. :) 10/10

I just watched this movie on DVD, i was told its an action movie.... it is but for some reason i laughed the whole movie until i got kidney pain and nearly choked.
this movie is soooooo funny. watch as the guy turn on the oven and blow himself up.....HAHAHAHAHAHA :D
please do yourself a favour and WATCH this movie, if you thought AIRPLANE or NAKED GUN was funny....wait until you see this movie.
the director thought of creating an action movie....turned out he mistaken everything and did a comedy filled movie.
