Yep, I might not be some 160 IQ doctorate, but I loved this movie. As a total fan of the first 2 terminators, I think T3 was the weakest, but salvation, and this one are really great entertainment. Is it perfect? No. But as a fan of T1 and T2, as a fan of 80's movies, I really enjoyed this one.
You get the see the T800 fight, its strength is really well shown in this movie, you get to see the T1000 again and a new terminator version never seen before.
All in all, I think that if you take this movie as a bonus to the terminator series, which I though we would never get anything after T2, I think you can appreciate this movie for what it is, a great flashback to the old terminator movies and a wink to good old 80's movies.

I rarely write reviews, but this movie is a complete success. It delivers exactly what I expected, nothing more, and nothing less. I felt like I was back in the 80's, simpler days movie wise. Thank you for the great movie!!!!
As I need to write 600 characters, I'll say that the cast was great, Donnie Yen was a great surprise, I didn't even think I'd see him in there, and I was glad he did his quick punch trick at least once.
It is rare that a trilogy is good (first star wars, indiana jones, aliens to a certain extent...) but to get a quadrilogy all good and not running on fumes at the end is a chef-d'oeuvre by itself.

If you like SCI-FI, this is it for you. But not only space battles and lasers.
This series gives such a great attention to details, and explains pretty much everything (that is how I like a SCI-FI, create new tech while creating the backstories explaining them). I often had to pause to look at things like the very detailed engine or shield monitors, and had to back up to listen back to important information given.
The main vessel of the series, the Yamato, is also very well explored and used, with plenty of different technologies used, from huge cannons to classical WW2-era artillery shells.
The characters are also very well developed in here. Most of them are multi-dimensional and serve their own roles somewhere. This is actually an excellent space opera, and was really drawn into all of the inner stories, even love stories.
The enemies are also very well depicted, and get their fair share of screen time, and are also multidimensional. You get to understand them, and even understand them well, their behavior, and why their are doing what they are doing.
The english voice acting was also up-there, beautiful and well talented voices, fitting the characters.
All in all, this is a 10 for me, up there with neon genesis evangelion series. Looking forward the 2022 part! Thank for that new personal classic.
