Seen it real quickly by skipping the various scenes to see what they came up with. It's not good at all. You don't have to be paid millions to be able to judge right away if what they created was a flop, plain silly or good production. The costumes are so bad I don't know what to say. This looked like some cosplay comedy. The chemistry between Seiya and Athena just does not work. I don't feel the love and they were a total mismatch. The music obviously takes from some of the main themes from the anime and remixed. That did not work well either. It cost $60 million to make..wow. Money well spent I see...
I see a lot of negative reviews for this movie here. I will tell you, this movie is far better then those reviews give it to be. Moving away from other Disney movies, this one does not feature any "sudden random" singing by the main character, which is good because it does not break from what is happening and keeps the flow going. The story is NOT predictable despite what others are saying. No one would be able to figure out the main theme of this movie. I'm Vietnamese and so I see a lot of references to food we eat a lot and the details they put into them is amazing. I like how the theme of the movie is something I hope that we people of this Earth, will try to achieve one day. I hope we find our Kumandra.... The OST from this movie is also top notch and reflects the emotions of the scene perfectly. I especially like the themes used when Raya is with her father.
Ok, I realize I am late to the game, but almost done watching all 4 parts on Netflix. All I can say is, WOW! The show is nothing like the Western reality shows and is so much better. Every single house guests were entertaining and each had their story. The star, ace and hero of the entire Terrace House: Aloha State show was without any doubt, Taishi. You can't help but be amazed at his way of getting every single girl on a date like a real BOSS! His skills are nothing less then incredible; he is a GOD! Many would see him as manipulative and may get annoyed (maybe because he is just unstoppable), but if a style works on every single girl, then why change it? Every single girl who went out with him said he was amazing. He is not a player nor is he a mack daddy. His goal to go to the house was to find the love of his life and he was being very efficient and fast to "sample" every girl to be sure he does not overlook the one... I'm so happy for him when Chika arrived as she definitely made him see what finding a girl worth dying for was really like. They fell for each other pretty much early on. She may be better at keeping her admiration for him low key. They do make a nice, lovely couple and do match together perfectly.
I have come to admire him and I definitely want to follow him and see when he succeeds in Hollywood.
