Starlitelet

This show is constantly replaying in my mind, and I cannot get it out of my head. In fact, I am having a waltz with it and I don't want it to end.

I would have never expected this show to hook me in such a way where I have become totally enraptured in their world. It feels surreal; as if I am there with the characters and growing up with them. Their actions are not straightforward, but that is human nature. We are not perfect, so the representation and embodiment of these characters shows us what it is to be human. There is a contrast between these two girls versus the world; the world that is dominated by men. It is such an interesting view through each of the characters' vision and action whether they are women or men. It made me learn a lot about the human nature and what it means to chase for happiness. We take for granted little things in life and believe the grass is greener on the other side. There are so many internal and external power struggles that each of our beloved characters are going through. It is absolutely fascinating to see the clash of our two female protagonists with completely different mindset. A lot of times I would not have the guts or logically done what they have done, but the show presents it in a way that made me understand why they have gone to that extent.

To be frank, this show deserves a standing ovation. It's beautiful, elegant and sublime in every way, starting from the camera work to the production design and set to the cast and script. It's also wonderful how they were able to cast older actors that resembled their younger version in terms of mannerisms and looks. I'm even fascinated that the family members look alike. There was this one scene where I swear it was done on purpose to show the similarities between the two male characters to give us a premonition of where the younger character was headed. You will know what I'm talking about when you watch. I have not read the books, so I have absolutely no clue where the story ends, but I'll be damned if has something to do with the premonition.

In the end, it's honestly a show for both men and women to learn and understand one another. In other words, to coexist and not power trip one another. That would be an idealistic world, wouldn't it?
