If you don't like the comedy of Brent Butt, but, the "Corner, Gas" show writer and star, then you will not like this movie.
His style of self deprecating humor is the equivalent of verbal slapstick.
It's also very Canadian humor. If you like "Corner Gas", and the Brent Butt style of humor than you will enjoy this film.
Amy Smart Is also good in this, although her acting is a bit flat, and not very energetic. But she's easy to look at and very likable.
I enjoyed watching this movie on 1.5 speed on Tubi. Watching it at regular speed probably would've been less enjoyable.

If you can watch this movie as a piece of campy humor, you can enjoy it. Also, I watched it on 1.5 speed on Tubi and I was also cooking lunch so you know.
What's not to love about a fantasy action movie with five hot chicks doing Bimbo Fu and Lou Ferrigno wearing greenish gray body paint and smashing things like the Incredible Hulk???
Anyone who grew up in the 70s watching the green Hulk played by Lou Ferrigno on TV can't help but appreciate this movie just for that alone.
Yes, the dialogue stinks. And some of the actors need to attend a class called "Acting Lessons 101".
But it has some nice costumes and some decent fight scenes, and magic and fantasy. So if you're piddling around the house doing chores-such as folding laundry, or making lunch-watch this on high speed on Tubi or some other free service and you won't be disappointed.

Great actors creating interesting characters but with no real purpose.
There is not enough story for eight episodes. Most of these eight episode miniseries have at best four episodes worth of plot.
This one just doesn't have much happening at all. It could easily have been a four episode series.
And it is filmed in darkness. Apparently they filmed everything at night with the lights out. Many scenes are so dark that I thought my TV went out. I had to check the power. Except that I could still hear words so I figured something was wrong with my screen. But no, it was just the way they filmed it. Dark dark dark scenes filmed in dark rooms. With dark lighting.
