Series overall would have been a 7, being generally good but 2-3 too many episodes.
But it got a bit ridiculous in ep 8 and then completely off the rails in the finale.
What was that ending? The writing and plot resolution was atrocious. So many big plot points unanswered and the way it got there was completely unsatisfying.
I'd still recommend people watch it for the most part.

Acting is first rate here - Moss and Bell are fantastic, while the others all grew on me as the series progressed.
Definitely could have been six episodes instead of eight though - I almost gave up after ep 2 or 3 because we didn't seem to be getting anywhere - but it really does pick up.
However, while I enjoyed it and would recommend - if people can spare their attention to actually watch it and not be on a second screen - there are sooo many unresolved minor plot threads. Considering the slowness of the start, the attempted cramming of some exposition at the end in a few sentences fell short.

This is a decent series (read 5/10) elevated by one superb episode - episode 7.
An interesting premise, the show moves at a decent pace throughout, even if I thought it was a bit silly at times.
But honestly I would recommend absolutely anyone watching episode 7, with or without the context of the season around it. There are obviously a couple of things that won't hold as much resonance to those who watch the rest of the show, but I think there is enough there for most people to understand enough of what is going on to be able to appreciate the gravity of the situation and the stakes involved.
I also enjoyed the music choices!
