And here was me thinking that Better Call Saul was a load of overrated garbage, this somehow manages to be even worse in the 'thinks it's clever but really is very tedious' stakes.
I think it's fair to say that Vince Gilligan had his 'hour' with his few X-Files episodes as well as Breaking Bad, now though he should perhaps hang up his hat and do something else, like gardening, cooking, rollerblading, skateboarding, etc.

Season 7 was a disappointment, to put it mildly.
However, it did have a tiny amount of excellent episodes (including the two part finale) and this is easily one of them.
It's a terrible shame that most of the rest of season 7's episodes weren't up to the very high standards of this one. But the past is the past, and all we can do is learn from it.
