I've been, as far as I can remember, a fan and in love with the Alien franchise. I've watched everything related countless times, so of course I had to watch this series no matter how bad it turned out to be. But honestly, I have to admit I'm glad it's finally over.
Long story short, this is not Alien. Whoever branded and produced this under the Alien name has done real harm to the entire franchise. At best, this is a bgrade sci-fi and not even a good one. The writing is poor, the acting is weak, it's not true to the franchise, it's full of plot holes, and it insults our intelligence while betraying our love for what Alien represents.
I truly hope they discontinue the series so we don't have to suffer through something like this again. I'm genuinely sorry to say it, because I wanted to like this and had been waiting for it but this has been a huge letdown.

This has probably been mentioned already, but I just wanted to point out one particular episode that was totally ridiculous-Season 2, Episode 7.
Selena Gomez might be a huge star, but when it comes to sharing the stage with Steve Martin and Martin Short, she just can't pull her weight. She feels like a drag on the show. And that episode in particular was a complete letdown-as if the director skipped out that day and just let them do whatever.
If you remember, she was rescued by Theo and they were at his home, with him trying to read her lips to basically communicate. But even on screen, it was obvious-she wasn't moving her lips at all. And we're supposed to believe Theo could read them? She delivers her lines with her mouth practically closed all the time, without any visible mimics. Later in the car, while driving, she kept talking to him in the same way, it just looked absurd. This was just one example but in general she is unfortunately not at the same level as any of the cast she shares the stage with. 6 Stars for the first 2 seasons, thanks to the magic of Steve & Martin.

I can't believe my eyes. This is just beyond absurd. Once was mighty xenomorph has been turned into an obvious man in a costume lapdog responding to whistle commands. Stop torturing us and put an end to this abomination or just call it Peter Pan in Space. And never dare utter the word Alien again. Peak absurdity.
