A lot of the die hard fans of serious are serious "material" sci-fi fans will be disappointed. The film is more formulaic than some of the previous installments and doesn't take itself too seriously. With that said I loved the levity in the film and the fighting scenes were phenomenal on the big screen. The tone was a little off with honor and family as I think they would have been better served in a movie completely dedicated to a Clan war but all and all it accomplished its goal.

I'm not sure how as a writer you can sit down and think a great premise for a show in the Aliens franchise would feature adults acting like children for four episodes and think it would be entertaining to see them being manipulated at every return. As of now, everything's pretty predictable and it's not entertaining, it's tedious to watch minus the second episode. The only reason I'm not reading it lower is because there's still an opportunity to make it interesting but I'm one more bad episode away from completely forgetting about it.

...., Hawaiian language and too much dialogue, low functioning humans. I'm 2 episodes in and Momoa is surprisingly good and the other actors are unsurprisingly phenomenal. The flow of the story has been engaging and leaves you wanting to see more and all of this before any fighting scenes. The soundtrack is beautiful, the cinematography is beautiful and whether it's 100% historically correct is irrelevant. Enjoy!
