The storytelling was amazing. With many stories running nicely together, parallel to the main story, it kept the intrigue by keeping you thinking right through the series. I was reminded of 'Slow Horses' but with a different and fresh group of people, all with diverse (extreme) weaknesses and strengths that can come together and support each other. The main characters all have further stories to be told and as they come across (successfully) as 'normal' people, are relatable and we want to delve into their stories further. They are all heroes who battled adversity, showed strength and courage, and are inspirational! Oh I do hope many more seasons are made. The series has set it up for a successful future.
Hopkins did an honour to the amazing work that the people performed to rescue the children. A real tear jerker and should be shown at schools to install how bad humans can be. There is too much focus on removing history from schools and manipulating it for political gains. This movie is even more relevant with so many right wing lunatics in leadership positions at present, as well as dictators on today's world. A realisation of how scary things are heading towards and the younger generation need to ensure the horrors of war do not occur again. Mr Nicky Winston, you and your colleagues are true heroes!
How does this get such a high user rating? It plods along with no strong storyline and Jennifer Garner sounds like she is reading from an average book. Surely the book is better?
I expected much more from a high user rating and Apple but the user base watching this must be regular TV watchers, who watch anything and not people like myself with little free time who look for quality (through trading lots of reviews from people - excluding media critics of course who are always distant in their reviews compared to the average viewer).
Be ready to be disappointed and as my wife perfectly summarises at the end "Is that it?"
