Best dark comedy drama series I've ever watched. Dexter is great, but I have enjoyed this series even more. Cohen Holloway absolutely nailed the character of "Joe". Chelsie Preston Crayford is the icing on the cake for the series. Together, they could keep this series going for years! I truly hope there is a continuation of the series. Season one ended with a cliffhanger, so what's the holdup giving the go-ahead for season two?
I had not seen a single promo for this series (marketing failure?) but it popped up in my Netflix feed and I decided to check it out. After one episode, I was hooked. I don't understand why this series is not more popular, (again... marketing failure?). I'm going to enjoy it anyway, and hope that it isn't cancelled due to... yes, MARKETING FAILURE. It is a very entertaining series with great characters and a great storyline. I have spent a lot of time in the North Carolina area where it is filmed, and the storyline is 100% believable. The filming locations make me feel like I'm still there, and the storyline is gripping. I hope the marketing department responsible for this series gets their act together and gives this series star treatment. The Waterfront deserves better from Netflix.
I really like science fiction movies, especially alien themed movies. This movie is just too boring. It's obvious that the budget is miniscule, but it could have been so much better than this without spending more money. The lead actor (never seen him before) had zero personality, and was a terrible choice by the casting agency. His character supposedly works at NASA's JPL, but having known people who actually worked there, I can say that this actor was not believable at all. However, it was the stereotypical "men in black" with their laser beam weapons that ruined the movie for me. As much as I usually enjoy alien themed science fiction, this movie was a complete failure.
