Don't expect much at this point, but here goes...
First scene pre-open: terrible speech poorly delivered.
Annie in Spaaaaace! Ok, almost funny. Ya take whatever funny you can at this point.
No capitalism? Straight from Trek!
Yay. Always happy to see Ted Danson.
Holodeck scene. Oh wait, I can't call it that cos that's a Trek term.
Filler scenes....
Y'know what? Why go on? I used to love this show. Back when it was an affectionate send-up of Star Trek tropes, it didn't matter if it was sometimes silly or cheesy. That wasn't the point. It was about the fun. Now it's all serious. And since it inherits SO much of it's structure from Trek, now it's basically just a mediocre non-canonical Star Trek series.
If it's going to try and be a serious show now, it really has to focus on what makes it unique and apart from Trek. And the writers need to step up accordingly.

A lovely small scale film with a satisfying payoff. Exactly the sort of film she excelled at. And dammit I still can't believe she's gone. She'll never make all the wonderful films she could have made over the next forty years, and I feel that loss terribly.
Everything is pretty and shiny now, but the show has lost what made it good. It was a great affectionate send-up of the genre. Now it's just another mediocre example of the genre. This whole season has been a disappointment.
