  • This is now one of my favorites

I won't give anything away. However, be prepared to run the gamut of emotions while watching this movie. It is beautiful and worth watching for anyone, especially fans of Clint. Don't pass it up! The newcomers in the movie acted with utter professionalism. And Clint delivered an Unforgiven for the modern age. I have to admit that though the Gran Torino has a part in the movie, I might have titled it something different. But it's Clint Eastwood. He could have called the movie "Walt," or "Wally," in deference to his character's name, and it would be the same: brilliant. My giant of a father and tough, biker brother-in-law were both overcome with emotion watching this movie. You will be, too.

  • Pretty Stinkin' Funny

I'm a woman, and usually people assume that women don't like dumb guy comedies. But more often than not, I'd rather watch something funny than something heartwarming. I'd rather have a little heartwarming in a lot of comedy than the other way around. And in the case of this silly, cheesy, predictable movie, I got my comedy with a dash of heart-warmth.

I like Toby Keith -- he's kinda hot. And I love to listen to him talk. Rodney Carrington is one of the funniest, most talented people out there. And for both of them to be a in movie together -- I was pleased. I laughed my butt off at some of the gags.

I think my favorite part, however, was Ted Nugent as Skunk. As a fellow reviewer pointed out, it was hilariously ironic at that one of entertainment's most opinionated souls, "Talks when he has something to say," as Rack put it. Genius!

  • One of my favorite movies and I wish it were on DVD

This is one of my favorite movies. I was introduced to it by an old family friend who had copied it when it was originally broadcast on cable. My sisters and I ruined the tape with watching. My father has declared this movie his very favorite, and we all have the music from it (yay, Chieftains!). It is an incredible movie, which was my introduction to Christian Bale. I like this one even better than Empire of the Sun. My only gripe is that they have stopped printing this movie, even on VHS. It is a bear to get hold of a copy, let alone a decently-priced one. I hope that someday, a DVD will be made for all of us devoted fans of this brilliant movie.
